Going Kawaii in Paris????

I made a card using the Torendi "Paris in Bloom" kit and some Torendi Kawaii rub-ons.  It has a completely different feel from the layout I did on this post.  It just goes to show how versatile the Torendi products can be! Don't know what YATTA means, check out my post explaining the Japanese rub-ons, HERE!

I love vinyl rub-ons cause you can paper piece with them! I found the cute heart and daisy designs on the Cherry Delicious paper and thought they would make cute flowers.  I used the flag banners in the kit to make the grass, stems and of course the banner.  Torendi also carries the Nerdy Bird Flag Banners in fun bright colors!

A layout with "Paris in Bloom"

Ok Ok, I know, I fell behind on my layouts, but I had company visit.  I made a layout yesterday with the new Torendi "Paris in Bloom" kit to try and get back in the swing of things. Everything is from the kit, except for the yellow Nerdy Bird Glitter letters, but you can find those at Torendi too.

Here is my layout, I kept it simple since the paper is so busy but fun!
You may remember the photo from this post.

I took a closer pic of the banner and letters.  I used my finger nail to roll up the bottom edge of the banner, I liked the way it turned out.  The "flower" on the corner of the photo I cut out from another piece of patterned paper in the kit, then distressed and inked the edges.

I wish all my layout could be this cute with so little effort!
Thanks for stopping by!

"Let's Get Sticky"

I love the name of this challenge! LOL  Did you know that Jenny (from the E.A.D Design Team) has her own challenge blog going on? Challenge #11 is called "Let's Get Sticky" and you are supposed to incorporate any kind of sticker onto your project. This week her challenge is being sponsered by E.A.D Designs, so I (OF COURSE) had to play along with some of the new E.A.D Desgins Stickerz!!

Here is my card!

I love these tiny card bases, they are so fun to work with.  I used stickerz from the "Coffee Addiction" Stickerz set and the stamps are from an older SU set.

I hope this quick and easy card inspires you to play along too, or at least got an get a latte. ;)

Toot Toot!

I don't have a project to share right now, but I wanted to toot my own horn a little bit! ;)

My name is published in two magazines right now! I'm so excited! It's my first time being published in any magazine and I wanted to share!!

In the Scrapbook Trends "For the Home" June 2010 edition, you can find the felties I handmade for the Torendi Store on pages 96 and 97!!

In CARDS July 2010, I have a card featuring E.A.D Designs Tag Rub-ons on Page 149!

Amy also mentioned my Alice in Wonderland Tin on the Mod Podge Rocks blog! THANKS AMY! And thanks to all of you for letting me share today!  :D

Getting Sketchy!

Time to play along with another fun challenge! This week I used sketch #42 from the Get Sketchy Blog! This was a super fun sketch to play with! Here is my card!
Isn't that mushroom the cutest?! You can find him on the Torendi "A Kawaii Day" Rub-ons. I love him in purple, love love love! I also used some E.A.D Designs "Stitches" Stickerz to help accent the sentiment and add a little detail to the card under the mushroom.
Here is a closer look at the "Stitches" and also how well you can stamp on Japanese Washi Tape!! I also used some My Little Shoebox Overlays and the tiny mushroom stamp was a gift from my sister in-law from THIS ETSY STORE.

Did you see this the Torendi Item of the week? Good Luck OPP Tape, ONLY $3.50!

In personal news, last weekend we took BOTH minis (the blue one has been a 10 year + project) out to the GPNW mini/micro car show.  Don't they look so cute!
Sadly my purple truck broke down on me 30 miles or so before our destination, Alice got a 103 degree fever, we had no other car to pile our stuff into, so the weekend kinda went south.  Did I mention we were camping too! But hey, the picture looks good right!? :D Oh and the purple truck won the "greatest challenge" award! LOL
Thanks for stopping by!

E.A.D Desgins Blog Hop!

Welcome to the E.A.D Designs Blog Hop! This month we didn't have a theme for the hop, so I decided to make two completely different cards.  My first card is a birthday card for a 9 year old boy.  What 9 year old doesn't like video games?? I used the new "Got Game" and "Funky Frames" Stickerz on this card.  It's in the mail as we speak, hope he likes it!

For my next card I played along with the BRAND NEW E.A.D Designs COLOR CHALLENGE! This Challenge is called "Plum Shabby" and you have until Midnight on June 19th to play along! You could win a $20 gift certificate to E.A.D! Also, everyone who plays along gets a 25% Discount Code!! I used the "Canister Labels 1" and "Damask Background" Stickerz on this card. Both cards use paper from the BasicGrey Green at Heart Paper Pad.

So this month we are switching things up and making this an actual BLOG HOP!  You should have come to me from the E.A.D Designs Blog and I will be sending you over to the talented Amy's Blog

Be sure to comment on all the blogs in the hop (as always) to be entered to win some Woodland Friend's Cling-Its!!!

SHUT UP!

This is such a fun sentiment to play with! Normally it's something you are telling your little ones not to say, but used in a different context , it is a sign of excitement!

I played along with these weeks sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 you and came up with the card below.

I used the new E.A.D Designs Yippee Sentiments, Funky Frames Stickerz, Torendi "I Heart Kawaii" Rub-ons (made by E.A.D Designs) and some Japanese Washi Tape! (you can find more Washi tape at Torendi now!!)

Here is a closer look, I love how you can see the grid design thru the stickerz.

The purple and white background paper is from a box of Japanese candy my Brother and Sister In-law brought over.  I immediately said SAVE THE PAPER! ;)

Have a great weekend. We are taking the girls camping, in combination with a mini/micro car show! What are you up to?

Alice in Wonderland........need I say more??

So I thought I would share a little of my "Alice" collection with you.  No I won't be taking detailed photos and listing it all, but you can get an idea.

My Alice stuff got to take over our upstairs hallway, WOO HOO! Here is some of my Alice art. (Yes, we hang the pictures crooked on purpose!) I have more I need to frame and hang, and GASP one I have to find. :( I hope it didn't get lost when we moved, cause it's SUPER AWESOME and from one of my favorite artists, Jimmy Pickering.)

My hubby made me this shelf for my collectables.  Sadly they don't all fit, so I have to pick and choose.  In the frame is an old map of Disneyland from right before Space Mountain opened.

Ok, so why did I feel the need to share this? Because... Emily from E.A.D Designs sent over some ALICE IN WONDERLAND CLING-ITS the other week but there was a catch.  They were for my GIRLS, NOT ME?!?! UGH! She is so MEAN!! ;) So I thought I would share how hard it was for me not to use them in my space and let the girls use them in their room.

See how cute the little Cheshire cat would have been next to my Pirate edition Cheshire cat!

Not to mention how cute they all would have been lined up on the baseboards of my hallway! HMPH! I guess I just have to order some for me!

After I was done playing around, I gave them pack to the girls as promised.
Here is Aurora lining up the dormouse just where she wanted it.

Alice had to help too and I am happy to say that they cling wonderfully to their new ikea dresser! HOORAY!
