Me? Videos??

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I have my own YouTube channel now and it even has my first video for E.A.D Designs on it! WOO HOO! You can find my channel HERE or just watch the video over on the E.A.D designs blog!

Please scroll down to the next post if you are looking for my E.A.D Designs Stickerz cards.

Quick and Easy cards with Stickerz!

Hey everyone! Have you tried the new E.A.D Designs Stickerz yet?  If not, you are missing out!  There are so many adorable designs and things you can do with them!

I found a package of tiny card bases and envelopes in my stash the other day and decided to play.  I'm sure you will be seeing more of these in the future, I love the tiny size!

I used the Text Talk Stickerz to make the background, typography sorta thing, on my card and then placed a super kawaii sticker, that I borrowed from my girls, on top of it. (That is one horrible run-on sentence but I type how I talk! LOL) Quick and easy but so adorable!  Oh, I also inked the edges in pink to match the sticker and make it stand out a bit more.

I think is works well cause the sticker was a puffy sticker, hopefully you can see that better in this pic.

For my next card I used the Believe in Make-Believe Stickerz.  The sentiment and the squirrel are from this set. I paper pieced a bunch of acorns from the "Critters in the 'Burbs" Lawn Fawn stamps and the green is a Ranger paint Dabber.

Here you can see that I outlined the sticker with brown to give it a little something extra and also get a better look at those paper pieced acorns.  This card wasn't as quick, due to the paper piecing, but it was easy and fun!  There is something about paper piecing that calms me.

Don't forget that if you see an E.A.D Designs product featured on my blog it is ON SALE in the store!! WOO HOO

Stay tuned...I plan on posting my first ever video soon!

Layouts, yes I am doing them!

So I said I wanted to do 2 layouts a week on this post and so far so good! We will see how long that last. ;) I want to make sure that I remember to post them here so that  my blog readers can make sure I stay on track!  Also, I would REALLY REALLY love your ideas on taking better photos of layouts.  I try to use my light box but it's just not working out.  Anyway, as you can see I am way behind on layouts of my girls, so that's probably what you will be seeing most of.  Oh and they aren't going to be the most elaborate layouts either since I am playing catch up and trying to bust out these bad boys as fast as I can.

For this layout I used the Cosmo Cricket papers in the Torendi "Fresh Mix" Kit with the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Stamps.

I love the little paper pieced bee wings!

The next two layouts are the same KandCompany papers and photos from the same day but I have to scrapbook some things twice (or three times) so that everyone has a page for their own book!  Gee, why am I behind?? ;)

The photo of Rori laughing so makes me think of the "Mad Hatter" LOL

Fun with Fabric!

So Cath at Moxie Fab World is at is again with her challenges and really got me inspired to work with the fabulous imported Japanese fabric available at Torendi.  So far I have used the "Stroll" fabric from the "Color by Number" Kit and the canvas "Mushroom" fabric. I hope to come up with a fun idea for all the fabrics before the challenge is over.  I have until June 7th, you should play along too.

For my first project I made a card using the fabric as the background of the scene. All the stamps are from the adorable Critters in the 'Burbs by Lawn Fawn Stamps and are paper pieced with Cosmo Cricket  the Boyfriend paper. The sun is a sticker from the new E.A.D Designs Stickerz line, "Rainy Day"  I even used my sewing machine again!  I didn't really want the thread to be that noticeable so I matched it to the fabric as best I could.

Here is a close up of the E.A.D Designs Sticker.  I used Copic markers to color it in.  You can also see the sewing better in this pic, so yes I did the crazy line on purpose!

Here is my next attempt at using fabric.  I made a little hair clip for my girls.  I traced the clip around the fabric where the little woodland critter was, cut that out,  sewed it to some felt, and then slipped in the hair clip.  Next I cut out mushrooms from the same fabric, covered them in sparkle Mod Podge, let them dry and then Mod Podged them to the clip. I plan on making more clips soon!

And here is my shy clip model! :)

I hope you are inspired to work with fabric now too!
