It's ETSY TIME!

Sadly it's my last week as a guest DT with the Etsy Inspired challenge team, I had such a fun month with them! I of course will continue to play along though. :)

This weeks Etsy Shop is Tony Carlisle's Photo Gallery. He takes wonderful photographs of many things, but a lot of them are nature focused. I used this photo of the moth on daisies as my inspiration. Don't forget to go to Heart Hugs Designs to play along for your chance to win an 8x10 photo!

Yes it's more of the Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies Line, but it seems to work so well for many things! How could I not use it for this weeks challenge? It was a prefect match!

What I used:

Paper: Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies
Ribbon: Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies
Stamps: Unity's August KOTM (bird), Feb KOTM (journaling box) and Hey Chick sentiment
Ink: CTMH Cranberry and Black
Other: QK Mushroom, glitter glue, 3D foam

TOOT TOOT!!

First of all I want to thank all of you for being wonderful blog friends and leaving such kind comments all the time. THANK YOU! :D

I made this layout yesterday after Emily over at EAD Designs asked me to be a full time Creative Team member! WOO HOO! I was so beyond excited and of course I said YES! There is an announcement on her blog today.

This layout actually started out as a card and evolved from there as I got to thinking that I had never scrapbooked a page about ME. I was also reading an online article on Scrapbooks Etc. saying that you should scrapbook about your blog or online life for your kids to look back on and get an idea of "you". So I went with it and this is what I came up with. I have to go back and find the article, cause I believe it's actually a contest as well.

Before having my second baby I used to be CAUGHT UP on my scrapbooks and would scrap recent happenings in our lives just after they happened. Needless to say I haven't done that in a while, LOL. So it was lots of fun to scrap this event right away. I printed my blog banner (which my husband designed for me, now I just need him to FINISH my blog) and the photo of me on our color printer. I always go and have my photos printed at the store, so it was neat to have what I needed ASAP. OH, I also used the rub on applicator that come with my EAD Rub ons to apply the streaks of cranberry ink, in case you were wondering what other uses they had. ;)

What I used:

Black Rub Ons: EAD DESIGNS!
All Paper: Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday (they are having a DT call if you haven't heard!)
Ribbon: Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie
Stickers: Making Memories Sabrina
Stamps: CTMH June Word Puzzle, Whimsy Numbers, Simple Invites
Ink: CTMH Black and Cranberry

A Mini Album with EAD!

Welcome Welcome to the EAD blog hop! This week I decided to combine all the EAD rub ons I had and use them in a cute mini album for our neighbors. The neighbors have a beautiful garden that we can see from our deck and boy do they work hard! They also share freshly cut bouquets with us all summer long so I wanted to make them something to say thank you (you can see the card I made to go with it in this post here).

I hope they like it! I left the journaling spots blank so they could add a little bit of their thoughts to the album as well.

Don't forget to go see the other DT Projects this week

and then back to the EAD blog for a chance to win this for your wall....

SO CUTE isn't it?!?! Good luck!

What I Used:

Rub Ons: EAD DESIGNS!
Paper, Ribbon, felt, smaller rub ons and 3D stickers: Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies Collection
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co
Ink: CTMH Cranberry and Black

Smile!

cause it's time for another Etsy Inspired Blog Hop! This weeks Etsy Store is PotatoPatch . The owner makes adorable baby T-s and Onesies. Hop on over to Heart Hugs Designs to find out how to play along for a chance to win a short sleeve shirt of your choice! I used the little owl onesie for my inspiration this week.

Isn't this paper so fun? I think my friend is going to love it, it's her b-day card! The longest part of this card making process was waiting for the Modge Podge to dry, but otherwise it was quick and easy.

What I used:

Paper: K and Company Sweet Berry
Owl and Heart: K and Company Sweet Berry
S: Cosmo Cricket Buck Naked Buttons
Rub on: Autumn Leaves Pretty Poppies
Ink: CTMH Pink Carnation
Other: Embroidery Thread, Modge Podge and Zip Dry

A quick post

I don't know what happened to this week, well I do, but it sure zipped by. I just wanted to post a quick card I made for some friends in town that had a new baby girl. When I made the card I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl, so it's a little bit gender neutral, but I think it turned out cute. I made a bunch of inches with the CTMH "baby steps" stamp set and colored them with pastel sharpies. The "baby" stamp is from Unity. The ribbon is Cosmo Cricket and the orange tag is Making Memories.

I might be back tomorrow, otherwise see you Saturday for another EtsyInspired Challenge! :)

Etsy Inspired #

Some of you that follow my blog may have gotten a sneak peek at this layout on June 2nd, because I managed to hit publish instead of save! lol But here it is again with details this time.

This weeks Etsy shop is Naturally Felt. The owner makes the cutest eco-friendly lunch and snack bags. My family is trying to go "low" plastic and I think I'm going to have to order some of these reusable sandwich bags for myself! I drew my inspiration from the tree bag shown below. Don't forget to go HERE to find out how to play along and what the prize is this week!

With those cute trees I had to go FALL THEMED! Last year I took my daughters for a walk and collected some of the beautiful colored leaves on the ground. I took pictures along the way to capture the colors and the fun time we had.

The details are:

Background cardstock: Friendly Forest by Colorbok
All other DP: Sassafras Lass
Stamps: Unity's Giggle Grove and Owl from Mix up of Cuteness
Embroidery thread
Making Memories letter sticker
CHMT Brown Bag ink
3D foam

This card is also a small preview of my next EAD Designs project as well, but you will have to come back on the 23rd to see that! Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget tomorrow is my next EtsyInspired Challenge project and it has some Unity on it! ;)

Supplies Used

Recycled Cardboard

EAD BLOG HOP!

I'm thrilled to be a part of the EAD Designs Blog Hop! The ladies on this DT have so much talent and I'm honored to be joining them this month. After you leave here be sure to show them all some love (links are posted below)!

I just started using EAD vinyl on my projects and I LOVE THEM. They are super easy to use, come in TONS of COLORS, and there are just SO many CUTE images to choose from. Here are links of my favorite Scrapbooking Rub-Ons HERE, HERE and HERE! I haven't tried any of the wall decor yet, because I want to make sure I have the perfect spot for it first. I'm thinking my girls need something fun in their room. Now on to my layout!

These photos were taking of my daughter Alice when she was 8 months old and she is STILL continuing to make us all laugh with her hysterical expressions!

"Growing" is the name of the Rub-Ons I used for my layout and they are just perfect for scrapbooking my girls. In the photos on the EAD website you won't see the lavender lines I used to "frame" the frame in my layout. When your EAD Rub-Ons come in the mail you will get all the images you see in the photo (probably bigger than you expected, I love that) and then they are all "framed" in a rectangle. I'm assuming this rectangle is part of the cutting process but I wasn't going to let it go to waste! Just like the cardboard frame I used. My husband volunteered to do the Costco shopping last month and I had oranges on my list. When I write my lists, I write it for me, so I "know what I'm talking about". Well I didn't revamp my list for him and he came back with a box of oranges when I really wanted cans of mandarin oranges. No biggie, we still ate them, but the "real" oranges came in a large cardboard box and when I saw the lid of the box I KNEW I would be using it as art! hehe The best part is I've only used half of the box so far and can make another layout or project with the other half.

Details:

Rub-Ons: "Growing" EAD DESIGNS
DP: "Sunday" and "Monday" Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday
Stamps: "Love Grows" Unity Stamp Co and "number 8"
Paint: Adirondack Purple Twilight and Lettuce paint dabbers
Ink: CTMH Watermelon and Top Boss
Other: Sun Pacific Oranges box, Stamp n Stuff embossing power, studio g glitter glue

My First DT Creation! :)

It's June and that means I am a guest designer for the Etsy Inspired Challenge! WOO HOO!

This weeks Etsy shop is Chicy Creations. They sell all kinds of cute and adorable hair clips for little girls. So of course it was only natural that I decided to scrap my daughter's first hair cut and incorporate some of the fun colors of their clips. My daughter was almost 3 before she needed a real hair cut! hehe Please go over to Heart Hugs Designs to find out how to play along for a fun prize.

The background and strawberry cardstock are DCWV Nana's Nursery. The little frame behind the flower is a CTMH stamp from Baby Steps and the cute journaling frame is from BAM POP! The layout is fairly simple so I decided to add a little bit of bling by the journaling.

This is actually a two page layout and goes with the "after" pic in this post.

If "when it rains it pours", what is the opposite?

Anyone know? It just seems like I have had so much GREAT news in Blogland lately and I have even more to share with you today. So not only am I on the Etsy inspired design team this month (look for my first post tomorrow) but Emily at EAD Designs contacted me and I'm going to be their guest designer for June! WOW! I really can't believe it! I'm still in shock and I must say that I made the cutest layout last night with some lavender EAD vinyl rub ons. Come back Tuesday for the EAD Blog hop to see it!

Ok ok, I know, it's BLOG CANDY DAY!

I had 13 comments on my blog candy post, I wrote all the names down on an old envelope, put them in a hat and let Aurora pick the winner.

Congrats to .................... (aka Tifany) who said "Congrats! I think that Basic Grey has some beautiful designs and a good weight to their paper, but there are so many pretty papers out there from lots of companies. Love them all!"

I just need your address so I can get your goodies out in the mail!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for my first Etsy post!

There is some pretty funny stuff in there! The little "pockets" were party favors for the guests. They had a free drink ticket and quarters for the arcade in them!

All the stamps are BAM POP along with 99% of the paper too (the yellow polka dot paper is Sassafras lass). The cute little mushroom is a EAD Rub On.
