You got to Move it Move it!

My daughter was watching "Madagascar" for what seems like the 100th time the other day and I was listening along while stamping. I'm glad that I did cause it inspired me to make the card below. It is a quote from the movie, just in case you haven't seen it.

This card was mailed out today. I can't believe the little girl it is going to will be 10 years old on Thursday! WOW, I guess she isn't so little anymore! Inside it says "Happy Birthday, try not to go too WILD"

The paper trims and quote bubble are Sassafras Lass paper from the Hog Heaven Pack. The little lion, quotation marks, font and number stamps are all CTMH. The orange letter stickers are also CTMH white stickers I colored with a colored pencil. The 10 is Cosmo Cricket tank mix black board with yellow glitter on top.

I should be back with more BAM POP tomorrow! I'm having SOO much fun with those stamps.

Who likes to party? GCD STUDIOS DOES!

Congrats to the 13 lucky ladies who got calls today, I can't wait to see who you are! :)

BAM POP and G.C.D.

I {heart} Bam Pop! I was doing some online browsing before my birthday and came across Bam Pop. Their products are so fresh and fun, I HAD to have some. Luckily I have AWESOME friends who noticed my new obsession and purchased some Bam Pop acrylic stamps for my birthday. I was super excited to receive them and also when I stamped them. You never know what to expect with acrylic, but these stamp GREAT! If you haven't been to their site, check it out, especially if you like cutesy modern things. Now I just need to get ahold of their volume 3 paper pack. OHHHHHH, and the owners JJ and Jen added a special surprise to one of my friends orders because it was my birthday! How Sweet! I'm now a proud owner of this little guy.....CLICK HERE

ok, I am working on a bunch of thank you cards with my new stamps, here is one of them. The font and happy clouds are both Bam Pop. The paper is Sassafras Lass (love them too), and the orange trim I cut out of DCWV cardstock on my cricut. Simple, but adorable if I do say so myself.

One more thing,

G.C.D. Studios is announcing their new DT tomorrow, but that means prizes for you! Check out their blog and website. Their paper lines look yummy, I have yet to play with any though :(

It's HERE!...

Happy Saturday everyone! Are you super excited for all the Unity love today? I know I am! You should be joining me from Jimmi's blog (she is so talented) HERE. If not, make sure to head over to the UNITY BLOG and start the hop from the beginning. You aren't going to want to miss out on ANY of the wonderful Unity creations in this blog hop.

For my birthday I received many wonderful gifts from friends and some of them even came wrapped in fun items. When I unwrapped this box (forgot to take a before picture) I knew that I was going to use it to store my cards in. Right now my cards are kinda thrown into a flimsy cardboard disney store box and it's just not cutting it. I thought the Unity hop would be a great chance for me to get my card box decorated!

Back to reality and a winner!

Thanks for all your fun comments and birthday wishes! I had a wonderful birthday dinner (seafood pasta and beer, YUM) and night on the town with friends. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing. I let my daughter Aurora pick a number for the blog candy winner, she picked number 6, KERRY.

Kerry said "No need to enter me into the blog candy...just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day! Cute Easter bag!"

So looks like number 7 will be the actual WINNER, Michelle Annat. Michelle said " Soo cute! For he first day of spring I am going to celebrate someones Birthday with them!! I wonder whose it could be!!?"

HOORAY Michelle! I know where you live, so no need to send me your address ;) I will make sure you get your blog candy next time I see you.

I hope everyone is getting ready for the BIG UNITY BLOG HOP SATURDAY!! Click on the blinkie to the right for more info!

HHH with BLOG CANDY!

Hi all, it's FINALLY my birthday! :)
That means blog candy for you and also a fun HHH project.
Yesterday's Hip Hop Challenges were to make something with Easter colors and something with an oval shape. I decided to combine both challenges and make this bag. I cut the bag and tag out of yellow cardstock on my new birthday cricut! Then I cut a bunch of 1 1/8 inch squares out of some adorable Easter paper I bought last year. After inking with edges with CTMH pink carnation ink I glued them onto both sides of the bag. After they dried I went back and trimmed with edges of the bag with a project knife. I used Unity's distressed dots background to ink up the side of the bag and also the purple Easter eggs. The chick and "I adore you" stamps are from Unity's December KOTM. I also used my doozie daisy stamp to give some extra interest to the grass with CTHM sweet leaf ink. HEY CHICK! is from the Unity kit of the same name. Put it all together with a few little extras like glitter glue, gem, eyelet, ribbon and it's done! :) Please go to the UNITY BLOG to see all the other wonderful HHH participants. Did I mention there is a huge SALE this weekend too?!

Now onto the Blog Candy! Since it's HHH I had to included Unity in my prize, so up for grabs is Unity's Forever Friends and three spools of super cute ribbon from Joann's. Nothing big and fancy, but it's always nice to get some happy mail. To enter for a chance to win just leave a comment telling me what you are doing today for the official START OF SPRING! (You can sign up to be a follower of my blog too, but it's not required)

A New Post for a Rainy Saturday

Hi all,

We are trapped indoors today, so I thought I would share a couple projects. The first one is on it's way to my mom in Arizona. She is always bragging about the SUN there, but it's way too hot, and there are no green trees, I just couldn't do it. She comes here and claims she is freezing to death, lol. We just agree to disagree on where the best place is to live. Anyway, it was her birthday yesterday, so this is her card. (If I haven't mentioned it already, MARCH IS CRAZY with birthdays!!)

The background was embossed in my cuttlebug with the birds and swirls folder (that's a long story about it's journey to my house, maybe I will share sometime). I then colored it with some CTMH chalks. The flower is Doozie Daisy from Unity Stamp Co. It is the part of the card that OPENS, with a small birthday greeting inside.

I LOVE this next project. It was a birthday (again MARCH birthday) package for our friend Jeff. I covered a pillow box with some Rusty Pickle paper and then paper pieced the Unity cupcake. The cherry brad and skull ribbon are both Creative Imaginations. The cute little tag was cut out on my new CRICUT and tied on with some ikea twine.

I'm working on a cute Easter bag right now, hope to share it soon, and don't forget to keep checking back for my first ever BLOG CANDY on my birthday! (hint...I'm was born on the last day to be a Pisces!)

THANKS TO YOU!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit the Cosmo Cricket Blog and vote for my card this weekend. I ended up being one of the top three projects! I'm so excited! So as promised I will be passing along some BLOG CANDY soon (I think on my b-day, so keep checking back). There is a great flower tutorial on the Cosmo Cricket Blog today, check it out.

Here is different Cosmo Cricket card I just sent off to my brother-in-law for his birthday. I used lots of Cogsmo Die Cuts for this one and glued them to a cardstock base.

Have a HAPPY Monday!

Etsy Inspired #26 and Moxie Fab

Expressing You Vinyl Creations is the Etsy store that Ashley picked to be her inspiration this week. Check out her blog Heart Hugs Designs, to learn more about the challenge, and find links to DT members examples. There will be a random drawing for a $15 gift certificate to Expressing You.

Below is the Vinyl Art I choose for my inspiration
This weeks Moxie Fab World Challenge was "For the Birds" so I decided that my card would be great to enter there as well. If for some reason you haven't heard of this blog, CHECK IT OUT, it's a MUST do!

And here is my card!

And a closer look at my little felt owl...

Here are all the details

Card Base: ColorMates Cardstock in Light Creamy Cocoa

Paper: CTMH Notebook Paper Pack (blue background, pink flowers, and Thank You)

Stamps: Unity's Distressed Dots, Unity's Owl from Mix Up of Cuteness, Unity's Tree Branch from Be "Owl" Mine.

Ink: Black Staz on, CTHM Chocolate and Pink Carnation

Brads : Joann's Essentials

Felt: Joann's

I don't own an edge distresser yet, so all distressing I do is with scissors. I fell in love with all the cute felt embellishments I have been seeing online lately and decided to make my own. I used my Staz On ink and some felt with my cute Unity owl, and pieced it together, EASY!

Oh, the flowers I cut out on my NEW Cricut Expression! My sweet husband gave it to me for my birthday (a tiny bit early) and I'm having lots of fun playing with all the features.

Thanks for stopping by today. OH, and if you haven't voted on the Cosmo Cricket Blog yet, there is still time, GO HERE (#3 Bloom is mine).

GO AND VOTE! :)

HI Blogger friends,

Remember yesterday when I posted my Bloom card (CLICK HERE or just scroll down) for the Cosmo Cricket Blog, well today it is on THIER BLOG (#3) and they are taking votes to see who the winners are (Julie just couldn't bring herself to pick and I don't blame her). Anyway, go have a look at all the wonderfully green projects that were created and have a vote yourself, even if it's not for me (but maybe I will offer up some of my own blog candy if I win!) ;)

HHH

Just a quick post today for HHH, running on little sleep. This little house is from the Unity January KOTM, which you can purchase HERE. I simple colored it in with some sharpies. Unity also has a great deal on the new KOTM, so check out their blog. There you will find more links to Unity lovers with HHH posts as well.

The paper on this card was from the Target dollar spot this fall and the cute little die cuts are making memories. (Thank you to V for giving them to me as a cute stocking stuffer) :)

Going Green with Cosmo Cricket

Julie over at Cosmo Cricket made a fun request to see some projects using GREEN Cosmo Cricket Paper. This is the card I came up with. I used "Wake Up" paper from the Jack's World line. The paper is double sided, so the yellow paper and the green paper are one in the same. The blue in the middle of the flowers is "Playtime" from the same line. The little bee stamp is also a Jack's world product, such a fun line, but I love all Cosmo Cricket lines! ;) All the buttons are from my mother in laws stash (she has A LOT) and the ribbon I have had for two years (I used it on my daughter's first birthday invitation, and she is three at the end of the month). The bloom sentiment is a CTMH stamp from the "March Word Puzzle" and I used my Nestabilities to cut the scalloped flowers.

Thanks for visiting

One More Etsy Inspired Card...

This time it was for Ashley's Challenge. 1 type of ribbon, two colors (plus one neutral) and no more than three layers. I decided to use this challenge to make invitations for my daughter's birthday party. We are going to go see the movie "Monsters VS. Aliens" that day.

Pretty clean and simple stamping, and those cute little guys are from Unity Stamp Co. You can find them HERE. Once I decided we were going to see this movie for her birthday, I KNEW I wanted to use these stamps to make her invites.

You still have until Midnight Pacific time to get these challenges done, go check it out!

Etsy Inspired Blog Hop Challenges

Here are two of the challenges I have completed for the blog hop so far. (Go here to find all the info and DT links)

This card was made for Kerry's challenge, to make a project with only CIRCLE embellishments. I like using buttons on my cards so this one was pretty easy for me. I used lots of Unity stamps and they were all from the November Kit of the Month! (I wish that I could collect every KOTMs, they are all so wonderful) The card base is actually light cardboard I recycled from some place with some CTMH paper on top. The bird and sun are paper pieced with Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops Wee Pack (again!) and the tree is a brown paper bag that I embossed in my cuttlebug. All the wonderful pink buttons were taken from my MIL's stash. :)

This tiny little card is called a MOO card. I've never heard of it before, but they are supposed to be 1 inch by 2 4/5 inches. TINY! I used scrap paper and two Unity stamps to make this quick and easy card. Visit Shannon's blog to find out the details and see other MOO cards.

Who's ready for Easter?

Doodle Factory is! They just released this cute set of Easter stamps, aren't they adorable?

Go HERE!! to the Starving Artistamps Website to order up some fun new stamps just in time for this candy filled holiday. (which holiday isn't candy filled???)

That's it for now, but I hope to be back with some cards from the Etsy Inspired Blog Hop later today.
