My Videos! (don't laugh)

Here they are! My first two videos for E.A.D Designs! Thanks so much to everyone who has already watched the first one. If you haven't viewed it yet and are curious about trying the E.A.D Designs vinyl rub-ons, it's a great video showing just a small sample of the surfaces they work on.

In this second video, I show you how you can paper piece with the rub-ons, just like you can with stamps!  I also use the rub-ons to create a background and make a cute holiday card.

Be on the lookout for more videos!  I plan on doing one for Torendi really soon! :)  Oh, please let me know if you have any questions about the rub-ons or ideas for videos! You can subscribe to my You Tube Channel as well!

Have a great weekend and please scroll down to the next post to see the E.A.D Designs Weekly Steal!

Me? Videos??

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I have my own YouTube channel now and it even has my first video for E.A.D Designs on it! WOO HOO! You can find my channel HERE or just watch the video over on the E.A.D designs blog!

Please scroll down to the next post if you are looking for my E.A.D Designs Stickerz cards.

Quick and Easy cards with Stickerz!

Hey everyone! Have you tried the new E.A.D Designs Stickerz yet?  If not, you are missing out!  There are so many adorable designs and things you can do with them!

I found a package of tiny card bases and envelopes in my stash the other day and decided to play.  I'm sure you will be seeing more of these in the future, I love the tiny size!

I used the Text Talk Stickerz to make the background, typography sorta thing, on my card and then placed a super kawaii sticker, that I borrowed from my girls, on top of it. (That is one horrible run-on sentence but I type how I talk! LOL) Quick and easy but so adorable!  Oh, I also inked the edges in pink to match the sticker and make it stand out a bit more.

I think is works well cause the sticker was a puffy sticker, hopefully you can see that better in this pic.

For my next card I used the Believe in Make-Believe Stickerz.  The sentiment and the squirrel are from this set. I paper pieced a bunch of acorns from the "Critters in the 'Burbs" Lawn Fawn stamps and the green is a Ranger paint Dabber.

Here you can see that I outlined the sticker with brown to give it a little something extra and also get a better look at those paper pieced acorns.  This card wasn't as quick, due to the paper piecing, but it was easy and fun!  There is something about paper piecing that calms me.

Don't forget that if you see an E.A.D Designs product featured on my blog it is ON SALE in the store!! WOO HOO

Stay tuned...I plan on posting my first ever video soon!

Layouts, yes I am doing them!

So I said I wanted to do 2 layouts a week on this post and so far so good! We will see how long that last. ;) I want to make sure that I remember to post them here so that  my blog readers can make sure I stay on track!  Also, I would REALLY REALLY love your ideas on taking better photos of layouts.  I try to use my light box but it's just not working out.  Anyway, as you can see I am way behind on layouts of my girls, so that's probably what you will be seeing most of.  Oh and they aren't going to be the most elaborate layouts either since I am playing catch up and trying to bust out these bad boys as fast as I can.

For this layout I used the Cosmo Cricket papers in the Torendi "Fresh Mix" Kit with the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Stamps.

I love the little paper pieced bee wings!

The next two layouts are the same KandCompany papers and photos from the same day but I have to scrapbook some things twice (or three times) so that everyone has a page for their own book!  Gee, why am I behind?? ;)

The photo of Rori laughing so makes me think of the "Mad Hatter" LOL

My Second Paper Crafts Sketch Attempt

Here is another card I submitted to the Paper Crafts Magazine card call.  I just love all the fun colors of the Sassafras papers from Torendi but unfortunately it didn't make the cut.  Try and try again!

Fun with Fabric!

So Cath at Moxie Fab World is at is again with her challenges and really got me inspired to work with the fabulous imported Japanese fabric available at Torendi.  So far I have used the "Stroll" fabric from the "Color by Number" Kit and the canvas "Mushroom" fabric. I hope to come up with a fun idea for all the fabrics before the challenge is over.  I have until June 7th, you should play along too.

For my first project I made a card using the fabric as the background of the scene. All the stamps are from the adorable Critters in the 'Burbs by Lawn Fawn Stamps and are paper pieced with Cosmo Cricket  the Boyfriend paper. The sun is a sticker from the new E.A.D Designs Stickerz line, "Rainy Day"  I even used my sewing machine again!  I didn't really want the thread to be that noticeable so I matched it to the fabric as best I could.

Here is a close up of the E.A.D Designs Sticker.  I used Copic markers to color it in.  You can also see the sewing better in this pic, so yes I did the crazy line on purpose!

Here is my next attempt at using fabric.  I made a little hair clip for my girls.  I traced the clip around the fabric where the little woodland critter was, cut that out,  sewed it to some felt, and then slipped in the hair clip.  Next I cut out mushrooms from the same fabric, covered them in sparkle Mod Podge, let them dry and then Mod Podged them to the clip. I plan on making more clips soon!

And here is my shy clip model! :)

I hope you are inspired to work with fabric now too!

Rejected...

by Paper Crafts Magazine.  I know they don't hate me and I know I don't submit as much as I should but one of these days I hope to be published in their magazine.  Here is one of the cards I submitted to their last pub call based on a sketch.

I used Love My Tapes Japanese tape in the background to follow the basic sketch.  I then used Pop Circus OPP Tape for my main focal point and Hocus Pocus Thickers for my simple sentiment.  Finished it off with a few start brads and then I had a quick and adorable birthday card!

PARTYING WITH E.A.D DESIGNS DAY 8 STICKERZ!! *Giveaway and a Winner*

Welcome back to the party! Today Emily is launching the new E.A.D Designs STICKERZ! The whole line is just way too cute! LOVE THEM! You are going to want to head over to the BLOG and the STORE to check them all out! Of course I had to show you a project with the Alice in Wonderland Stickerz! I was beyond thrilled when Emily emailed me photos of the Stickerz and couldn't wait to order them!

I started out my project using a plain tin tub and made a different Alice in Wonderland scene on each side.

Here is the Mad Hater's Tea Party! Remember this from the little sneak peek I gave you? You can see what the stickers look like backed on cardstock or applied directly to the tin in this photo. I've also been having way too much fun with Studio Paints lately and added some "Bob Ross" inspired clouds in the background.  (Anyone remember Bob Ross?)

Here we have the Cheshire Cat. I applied him directly to the tin, so he would have that "invisible" feel. The tree I cut out of Jillibean Soup Kraft Cardstock and ran it threw my cuttlebug.

Ah, the Queen of Hearts! Of course the whole time I was making this side of the tin I was singing "We're painting the roses red, yes painting the roses red...." You can see, more fun with paint here and the little heart is a stamp from this kit. I used a flower technique I saw on the Cosmo Cricket blog and just scaled it down for the little rose tree.

And last but not least, ALICE!  Isn't she adorable?  Oh the sign you ask, yes that is an E.A.D Designs product too!  I cut up the applicator that comes with the E.A.D Designs Rub-ons and made it into this confusing signpost! (note the little mushrooms are from the Wizards of Oz Stickerz).  Of course I then covered the whole thing in Mod Podge because I would cry if anything happened to my little tin!

Now for my winner from Saturday's Post...Random.org picked #5!

Tammy said...

What a wonderful gift! Thanks for the inspiration!

PARTYING WITH E.A.D DESIGNS! DAY 7!! *Coupon Code*

Ok, so my project today may need a little explaining for most.  If you have seen the movie "Return to Oz" or read the Oz books then you probably know what I am talking about.  If not, I included this photo from an old Oz book to help me explain. :)

In Oz, some of the trees grew "lunch" in little pails instead of fruit.  I decided to make one of those pails! Ok, I admit it, this is not the first time I have made one of these.  I made some once for an anniversary picnic.  YEP! Lunch inside and all.  (stop laughing now) ;) I would post photos but it seems like I don't have any.  They must have been taken with 35mm film (what's that??).

Here is my version! Yep, that tree sticker is from another E.A.D Designs Stickerz set! WOO HOO!

I also made a lid to go with it!

More E.A.D Designs Stickerz for the sentiment on the back! Now I just have to decide what to put in it as a cute little gift. Tomorrow is the big Stickerz release, I'm so excited!

Now for your Coupon Code! Every order today can get a FREE set of Family Words Rub-ons with Coupon Code: FAMILY

EAD BLOG HOP {MOMS} *giveaway*

WHOA! What a week! Did you have fun partying with E.A.D Designs? I hope so cause the party isn't over yet!  Today is the 15th,  DT Blog hop day and to keep the party going EVERY DT MEMBER has an E.A.D Designs Giveaway on their blog!! WOO HOO! We are also officially welcoming Jenny to our DT team today too!

This month's theme was MOM.  Since I already showed you the cards I made using the new E.A.D Mothers Stickerz HERE. I thought I would show you the gifs that went along with them. (sorry to my MIL who hasn't seen her gift yet...it is here waiting for you to visit!)

I simply added some "Flourishes 1"rub-ons in white to the outside of these frames to give them a little more POP. The hardest part was getting both my girls to look at the camera and smile at the same time! My oldest daughter used to be such a ham for the camera, I think I took too many photos.

So for my giveaway, I wanted to giveaway something that isn't even released yet! It's part of the new Stickerz line that will be released on Monday (oh you will want to come back then too, more giveaways!) so for now all I will tell you is that they are ALICE IN WONDERLAND STICKERZ! LOVE! So if you want a chance to win some, leave a comment here (I will announce the winner on Monday), and also hop over to the other DT blogs to see what they are giving away!

Happy Hopping!

E.A.D Designs with E.I.C!

I played along (last minute) with my E.I.C friends because this weeks etsy store is too cute NOT to play! The store is called Isabell's Umbrella and you really should go take a look, cute, cute, and more cute! I picked the notecard below as my inspiration.

And here is my card.  As you can see, I went pretty literal with this one.  All the images are E.A.D Designs Rub-ons! The owl is from "Good Times", the branch is from "Love Hurts"and hello is from the "Sentiments" rub-on set.  The paper is in the Bam Pop Volume 3 paper pack.

I wanted to show you a close up of the sentiment.  I applied the rub-on directly to sticky back canvas and it worked like a charm! Love these rub-ons!

E.A.D Designs turns 8 this month and big things are happening next week!  So you MIGHT want to sign up to follow their BLOG and FACEBOOK PAGE.  There MIGHT be giveaways involved. ;) ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE!

My baby is 2 today!

Two Challenges in One!

When I saw this weeks challenge over at EBTKS was to use envelopes, I knew I would be using the coin envelopes from Torendi.  I love making them into gift card holders, thanks to Beth's product focus! Then I saw the Moxie Fab Challenge was to use chairs and my project just sort of fell into place! Like myself, a few of my friends are 30 this year, so I thought this would be a good way to have a little fun!

Happy Happy Owl!

Today I have another quick and easy E.A.D Designs home decor project to share with you.

I have had this Ikea magnet board forever.  It used to be in our garage in CA and has now made its way into the girls room for them to play with.  We just changed their furniture around and the magnet board needed to be moved to a new wall.  Since it was down anyway, I thought why not make it cute!

Like I said before, the girls room is pink, brown and green.  So I pulled out my E.A.D designs vinyl rub-ons and got to work.  The pink hearts, sentiment and owl are from the Silly Owls rub-ons.  The brown house, butterfly and flower are from the Cottage rub-ons. The green corners and sentiment (see pic below) are from the Easter Boarders rub-ons.

I stole the "Happy" from Happy Easter to make our owl a happy little camper! I also paper pieced the roof of his house.

I hope you enjoyed my little make over as much as my girls did! :)
